What to Expect

You have been asked to verify your identity as part of a job application. This takes about a minute, happens entirely on your phone, and is designed to protect both you and the employer from application fraud. This page explains what to do and what is — and isn't — shared.

How to Complete Your Trust Check

  1. Open the link. When you apply, you'll be prompted to complete a Trust Check, or you'll receive an email with a verification link. Open it on your phone.
  2. Get the Polyguard Mobile app. If you don't already have it, the link guides you to install Polyguard Mobile (iOS and Android). It's free for candidates.
  3. Verify your identity. Follow the prompts to complete real-time facial recognition and, if requested, scan a government ID. This confirms you are a real, present person.
  4. You're done. Your verified application is sent to the employer automatically. There's nothing else to install or remember.

Use a steady, well-lit spot

Real-time facial recognition works best in good lighting with your face clearly visible. If a step fails, you can simply try again.

What Is Shared

The employer receives verified claims about your identity — for example, that a real person completed the check, and (when required) your verified name and the region your ID was issued in. They use this to confirm your application is authentic.

What Stays on Your Device

  • Your biometrics never leave your phone. Facial recognition is processed on your device. Polyguard does not store your face data on its servers.
  • Polyguard shares a verification result, not your raw photos or biometric data.
